¨ The Appledore international consultancy has served marine industries across the world for over 30 years, working in more than 70 countries. Established as a completely independent buy-out in 1996, it continues the consultancy work of the former A&P Appledore International.

¨ Early projects included a major contribution to the establishment of Korean shipbuilding with the design of the Hyundai Mipo Bay and Daewoo Okpo shipyards in South Korea. Other major development projects followed, including Veracruz shipyard in Mexico, the Dalian New Yard, Guangzhou and Waigaoqiao in China, as well as yards in the UK, India and Turkey.

¨ In-depth coverage is given to merchant shipbuilding, the warship sector, shiprepair yards and to conversion projects. Wide-ranging expertise is provided by consultants with substantial engineering and management experience drawn from all disciplines.

¨ Performance improvement projects are an important part of the Appledore international portfolio - from technology enhancements to management and systems development. Production engineering and build strategies are also addressed to maximise yards’ performance.

¨ Detailed operational and capability reviews of shipyards, shiprepair yards and offshore fabricators, are undertaken for such companies, their prospective customers, navies and investors.

¨ Commercial studies, corporate strategy and business planning projects are carried out for shipyards and offshore constructors. Commercial and contractual assistance is provided to yards and vessel owners.

¨ Industry and sector wide investigations are carried out for governments, financial institutions and other clients wanting strategic assessments of markets, competition, restructuring, development opportunities, privatisation initiatives and other high-level issues.
